Sandals Negril Wedding Review
Hey Jennifer!
I do wish I knew where all the time goes. A whirlwind into a Reception, Holidays, Christmas Shopping and just getting a huge project out of the office. Here is my review:
LOCATION:
We had a wonderful time at Sandals Negril. The weather was beautiful and I believe we ended up with 35 people, which was a ton of fun. As far as the resort location, in retrospect, it would have been nice to be closer to some of the tour stuff by staying in Ochos Rios…we wanted to do the Bob Marley tour until we figured out it was 4 hours in both directions. I know that many couples do not want to leave the resort or don’t have time, but I suggest that they take a break from planning THE DAY and look at what other activities they may want to do.
The most fun we had with all our friends was on the catamaran to Rick’s Cafe, we got everyone to go! The staff were friendly and courteous and I love the fact that the Captain was the first female captain in Jamaica!!!
I recommend that the couple really consider the location at the resort that they want to get married. They offered the beach and the garden at Negril, but I know that different resorts have different options. It rained on our wedding day up until 3 pm, so they moved our reception indoors, which was a bummer. They then proceeded to schedule candlelight dinners to fill the space of my reception so that they couldn’t move it back outside. It did not ruin our day at all, it was just unfortunate.
PHOTOS:
They were wonderful. Please note that you will be required to sit a tinsy tiny room to select your photos the day after the wedding. It took us 3 hours. We had to pick our photos, and the photos for each of the books. I don’t think we expected this or the amount of time it took.
WEDDING:
It was Awesome! Wouldn’t have done it any other way!!! Destination – yes, again, no other way to do it and I have all kinds of former brides telling me that they wish they had done the same:)
SANDALS NEGRIL:
I would recommend Sandals Negril. It was really nice having Beaches so close to change things up! Curt and I actually went to Beaches the day of our Honeymoon because there was so much more stuff to do! Their entertainment was much better as well.
VIP Vacations:
Absolutely!!!! I do not know how I could have done it without you Jennifer! It was such a seamless process and my only wish is that I didn’t have to work with Sandals at all. They were not nearly as organized and helpful as you were and I felt that I ended up having to rehash EVERYTHING with them. Your staff was prompt and courteous and helped all of our guest get booked and on their way. Thank you so much, VIP was Amazing.
