“It certainly was no vacation turning a 115-year-old Victorian home that had been vacant for several years into the new headquarters of V.I.P. Vacations, but President Jennifer Doncsecz said she thinks the big move will be worth it for her company and her customers.

She expects the Bethlehem Township building – newly painted in her signature pink color – will be a calling card for the business that she’s developed for the better part of the last 20 years.

Doncsecz plans an Aug. 25 grand opening for the new office, which has a staff of nine. It’s the first office for the business, which until now had been handled mostly over the phone, online and out of Doncsecz’s home.

As a small boutique agency that had no employees besides her at the time, V.I.P. Vacations survived the mass extinction that took out most agencies in the late 1990s with the advent of online travel websites.

“I didn’t really have a lot of overhead, so I was able to keep going,” she said.

Over the years, she developed a reputation as an expert on business travel and honeymoon and wedding vacations and built an ever-growing list of clients through word-of-mouth, she said.

“My home just wasn’t big enough anymore. The business was taking over, and when I started getting more walk-in customers, I knew we needed to move,” she said.

So far the move and the extensive renovations she put into her new office have been worth it.

Even before she got to place the business’ official new sign, she was getting walk-in customers who spotted the Cape May-pink house and her small V.I.P. Vacations lawn sign.

“I think this is going to be great. Clients want to come in and sit down. Here they can really do that,” she said.

V.I.P. Vacations Inc. is at 3243 Easton Ave., Bethlehem Township. For more information, visit www.vacationsbyvip.com.”
