AVA Cancun is a standout addition to the Cancun luxury resort scene — polished, high-end, and designed for travelers who prioritize elevated décor, unbeatable views, and incredible poolside living.  Every room at the resort is ocean-facing, a rare and welcome perk, and we enjoyed Oceanfront King rooms complete with spacious balconies and indulgent soaking tubs overlooking the turquoise water.

The resort’s striking layout centers around a massive, sprawling bay-style swimming complex — a true highlight for pool lovers.  If you’re someone who enjoys wandering extensive grounds, AVA’s design differs and feels more like a sleek, oceanfront galleria, with most amenities located within long, modern buildings running parallel to the water. The atmosphere is upscale, fresh, and meticulously maintained.

Dining options impressed throughout the stay. One evening was spent at Kita, AVA’s hibachi restaurant, where the lively chef-led show and fresh ingredients made for a fun and memorable meal.  On a more relaxed dining level, simply ordering poolside service was another standout — from fresh guacamole and refreshing ceviche to a perfectly blended mango margarita enjoyed under the sun.  With 24-hour room service, cravings are effortlessly satisfied at any hour.

Wellness offerings shine at AVA.  The 80-minute massage at the spa provided a serene escape, while the gym facility ranked among the best we’ve seen at a large all-inclusive — spacious, modern, and stocked with top-tier equipment.  For families and adventure seekers, AVA offers premium entertainment options at an additional cost, including laser tag, an arcade, an escape room, bowling, and a Grand Prix racing simulator.

We were at AVA attending AIC Hotel Group’s Showstopper Awards, where our company was honored as a Diamond Level agency for 2025 production — a distinction earned by fewer than 10 agencies.  AIC delivered spectacular themed events throughout our stay, including a wildly fun Y2K-themed welcome party (yes — elder millennials are now officially a “theme”).  On awards night, the celebration continued with a post-show concert by rapper and Grammy-nominated artist B.o.B.

Located just 7 minutes from the Cancun airport, AVA couldn’t be easier to reach, making it ideal for destination wedding groups, conference style business getaways, luxury vacationers, and travelers looking for a modern, high-end all-inclusive experience.  The combination of elevated style, thoughtful amenities, and exceptionally curated entertainment during the AIC event made this a wonderful stay.
