"We had such a wonderful time!"

We had an absolute BLAST!!

The hotel was great- clean, easy to navigate transportation, and pool was fun! We got in around 1 pm and did some pool time before eating at Toothsome- yum! Great recommendation there! We walked around a while then rested up for Epic Universe on Thursday.

We were there early enough to get in pretty much first to the park so with the express pass and being there first we actually got the entire park done by 1 pm! I really loved Mario World- it was like stepping into the N64 video game. Harry Potter was cool and we tried a butterbeer but was too sweet for me! I also loved the how to train your dragon world- I like those movies. Favorite ride was the mine cart madness, least favorite the one I got wet. They were all really cool though and the Mario world and Harry Potter part were really neat. Even though I have never watched or read Harry Potter. We ended up heading back to the hotel to eat a late lunch and then hit up Universal Studios where it was very minimal wait times so we got through that entire park that first day including riding the Hogwarts express back and forth between islands to experience both ways!

The next day we hit up Islands of Adventure and were the first ones on the hulk roller coaster so we rode front row. We made our way around the park and we had the best time on the motorcycle ride. That by far was the best ride in all of the parks.  Not surprised the wait times on that, but thank goodness for the express pass! Definitely the way to go in these parks. We went back to universal for lunch and then hung out at the resort pool and headed back to Epic later on for dinner at blue dragon (very good).

We ended up grabbing tickets to volcano bay for Saturday because it was going to be hot and we hit all the parks multiple times. So we were there for rope drop and enjoyed the water slides and aqua coaster for a few hours. We went back to epic that night for dinner at Atlantic (also very good).

Sunday we got a 12 pm check out and hung by the pool for an hour or so before packing up.

We had such a wonderful time! Even when rides were closed we hit them up the next day or later in the day with the express pass. All in all 10/10 trip! I am glad we went between spring break and summer- the parks weren’t overly crowded-especially that Thursday in Epic. I was surprised how quickly we got on everything with the express pass. We had beautiful weather and it only rained for a short while one late afternoon.

Islands of adventure and universal were very nostalgic to me since I was there as a teenager, so many memories came flooding back in certain parts of the park, while at the same time it’s incredible how much has changed as well. Guess it is very metaphorical for life in general.

Thanks for all your help and tips – your expertise made the trip seamless and worry free. We could enjoy the parks and resort without having to worry about any of the logistics. Can’t wait to chat more when we see you!
