Thank you thank you! I have been meaning to email you (for what, two months now?!?! so sorry I dropped the ball!) First of all, thank you for sending the thoughtful gift!! It was such a pleasant surprise in the mail!! We have it hanging in our living room.
The wedding was such a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend the Jewel Dunn’s River. It was a good fit for us: It was a smaller resort so my family easily found each other on a daily basis. By the end everyone on the resort knew “the Nana” (my 89 y/o grandmother who had a blast). We wanted to do an all adult all-inclusive, but we had singles coming. We couldn’t do a Sandals (only king sized beds), so we were happy to find that the Jewel has several rooms with 2 queens. We were very happy with the resort (especially since it has the same feel and quality as a Sandals). As far as the wedding, the WC was amazing! I really can’t say enough about her. She made sure that everything was executed as planned and really put our minds at ease. It wasn’t just the WC bending over backwards for us, but her staff as well. When it came to planning prior, she returned every email of mine within 24 hours! I was impressed as I wasn’t expecting that.
The food was great, the service was outstanding. The wedding was executed as planned….well, sort of. It POURED. (I know, it was tough keeping it together that day). But the staff quickly changed the venue to an inside location with a nice view. I still was able to get pictures on the beach (as you saw) with a beautiful sunset!
Overall, it was a GREAT experience and if anyone is ever wondering about the Jewel Dunn’s River, please give them my email information, I would be happy to talk to them.
