Hello VIP! We are back from Secrets Akumal. This vacation was absolutely fantastic and actually more then what I expected it to be! I would definitely recommend this resort to others.
There was one particular employee that went above and beyond for me and Ms. Lopez. We both booked a tour with an outside group to go the the Tulum Mayan ruins. The touring company failed to mention that we were supposed to meet the bus out at the road outside of the resort. Anyways, one of the lobby concierge staff, Jain, sat with us for an hour helping us call the company trying to figure out what happened. When they refused to give us a refund, she called the company herself and stood up for us arguing with them about why it was not our fault we missed the bus, and that they should have better business practices. She was so patient and kind, and worked with us until we solved the issue. It impressed us both how hard she tried to make sure we weren’t leaving empty handed.
As a foreigner it was especially comforting to know the staff was their to have our back, and make sure we weren’t getting cheated.
The service was also fantastic and everyone was super friendly and happy to interact with us. It made the vacation very enjoyable!
