El Dorado Royale Destination Wedding Testimonial
Olivia Angerman - Bethlehem, PA
"We are so thankful for you and planning everything the way we did."
Our wedding was amazing. Thank you so much for all of your help with absolutely everything. We are so happy that we decided to do a destination wedding and we can not imagine our wedding day/celebration any differently.
- I think our favorite part overall was just being on a vacation with all of our loved ones and favorite people. We had so much time to celebrate with everyone, talk with everyone and just enjoy from pool days to our welcome party. We did an “informal” welcome party at Gaviotas with everyone and it was amazing.
- The resort is absolutely beautiful and all of the staff was so welcoming.
- YOU (EMILY)! You were wonderful to work with. I loved the way you organized planning each step and keeping us on track. It is so easy to get stressed out with all of the choices and things we need to do but you helped tremendously with this. We are so thankful for you and planning everything the way we did.
- Feedback on the wedding, coordinator, and resort:
- The planning process was great. Easy and fairly stress-free.
- The on-site wedding coordinator was also great. Karen Ramirez was our coordinator and she was wonderful to work with. We had great communication before and during our trip. She made accommodations for us with last minute changes and kept us on track with everything. Even on a day that Karen was not working, she responded to our messages while we were at the resort.
- We originally chose Gazebo 55 for our ceremony and cocktail hour and Fuentes Beach for our reception. Upon arriving to the resort, we were not happy with the space and set up of Gazebo 55. We thought the space was considerably different from the photos we had seen and could not picture our ceremony in this space. It was very upsetting in the moment. We quickly reached out to Karen and discussed our thoughts and she immediately took us on a golf cart tour to look at the other available locations for our ceremony. We ended up having all 3 of our events – ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at Fuentes Beach Gazebo and it worked out perfectly. Karen was able to coordinate for an arch to be put up to hold our flowers at the “altar”, which was beautiful.
- The resort itself is VERY quiet. Before our group arrived and after the majority of our guests left, it almost felt like a ghost town. Jared and I appreciated this serenity after our wedding events but it was definitely the quietest resort we’ve ever been to.
- I think we underestimated how large this resort was before our trip. You absolutely need golf carts to get around. Yes, you can walk, but to dinners in heels, it is not doable. Golf carts were not hard to come by, though, which was very nice.
- I would recommend this resort to future couples. Again, we could not have imagined our celebration any other way.
