With the airlines strapped for cash most are charging for just about everything extra these days.
Jennifer Doncsecz is the President of VIP Vacations. She says airlines are now charging for the little things like headphones, food, pillows, and seat assignments. So it can be difficult to calculate exactly how much your flight is going to cost.
Doncsecz recommends checking out the website www.truprice.net to figure out the true price of your ticket. Click on the “beta site” button. “You can select all the airlines you are looking at.” And then you enter the fare that you’ve found. The website will help you figure out how many additional fees are not included in the ticket price. Doncsecz explained it may be a better deal to pay a little more for a ticket that includes more extras.
Doncsecz also talked about some “cool” vacation spots you may want to consider for a summer vacation. Her suggestions include: the Finger Lakes, an Alaskan cruise, San Francisco, Quebec, and Vail, Colorado.
