Congratulations to Joanie and Tom Ogg, Margie Jordan and Jennifer Doncsecz — all speakers at the upcoming Travel Weekly CruiseWorld and Home Based Agent Show — for being recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine in it’s recently published book “Startup: Start Your Own Travel Business and More.”
All four will be sharing the insights and techniques they’ve used to grow their businesses with the attendees during the event in Seattle taking place June 18 to 20.
“We have built a roster of speakers that exemplifies success and who are drivers of our industry, and we’re thrilled that they are willing to help other agents who are also striving to be as successful,” said Arnie Weissmann, editor in chief of Travel Weekly.
Joanie and Tom Ogg will be presenting a 90-minute session on June 18 entitled “A GPS for Your Business: Secrets to Navigating the Start of a Successful Home Based Travel Business.” During this session, the Oggs will help new and less-experienced entrants build a roadmap to a successful home-based travel business.
Jennifer Doncsecz, owner of VIP Vacations, will offer two sessions. On June 19, she will lead a 30-minute session entitled “Crisis PR & Social Media Messaging.” And on June 20, she will host “Keeping the Business in Your Home.” During this session, she will offer entrepreneurs entering the travel field a guide to turn a part-time effort into a career and transform a side business into a full-fledged operation that just happens to be run from your house.
Margie Jordan, owner of Jordan Executive Travel, will teach a 90-minute power session entitled “Facebook for my Business: What I Learned Along the Way.” During this session Jordan, travel agent and social media expert, will share what she has discovered as she has experimented with a variety of Facebook business strategies. And she’ll share some advice on what not to do.
“It’s an honor to be counted in the ranks of some of travel industry’s best. I work hard. I read everything. I test everything, and then I jump way out of the box to make it happen. With all of the opportunity available, is there any other way to do business?” said Jordan.
Entrepreneur Magazine’s recently published book “Startup: Start Your Own Travel Business and More, recognized VIP Vacations’s President, Jennifer Doncsecz, as one of their experts, citing several quotes and references by Doncecz.
